For many years I was carefully looking for my dream house. I was not in a dire situation where I needed to move right away. Furthermore, I didn’t want to invest in a piece of property on a whim and regret it down the road. That’s why I took my sweet time and probably viewed over a hundred houses before I found one that really struck my fancy. That’s when I finally put down an offer on my first home and prayed that the owners would accept my financing. I’m very happy to report that I was able to secure the house of my dreams. The only problem was… I had a lot of things to store for my brother. This is how I wound up with a garage full of exercise equipment that didn’t belong to me. Thank God, my heating, cooling, and air quality control system included a separate mini split ductless heating and cooling unit that adequately controls the indoor air temperature and air quality throughout the garage. I realized that I needed this mini split ductless heating and cooling systems to be running all the time the hard way. One day I went into the garage and realized that there was a lot of mold and mildew growing towards the ceiling. When my husband said that he wanted to move into this house because of the sunroom I thought that was rather silly.

I understand that the large, semi outdoor space was extremely attractive when we viewed the home.

It had been decorated very nicely and staged to look as if people were using the sunroom for relaxing with their morning coffee. I think that this put ideas in my husband’s head that were extremely unrealistic for real life. For instance, the sunroom looks beautiful… But it doesn’t always feel so wonderful. In fact, the outdoor air regularly seeps into the sunroom and makes it extremely hot or extremely cold. When the sun is pounding into the contained to space, the indoor air heats up to an intolerable degree. Then, it gets extremely humid to the point that all of the windows fog up with moisture. I knew that we were going to need some kind of indoor air handling device revolution for our sun room to ever be usable. That’s when my husband and I decided to seal off the sunroom to contain the indoor air better. We additionally called out our professional heating, cooling, and air quality control technician to inquire about central heating and cooling upgrade. We were able to extend our central heating, cooling, and air quality control System all the way to the sunroom. Finally, we have indoor air temperature control that allows us to utilize the prized space. I’m happy to report that we actually drink our coffee in the extremely comfortable sunroom these days. When I was going to school I knew that I wanted to help animals.

I wound up getting a biology degree that included a basic medical education.

After that, I decided that I probably didn’t actually want to become a veterinarian or humane society worker. In fact, I would prefer to keep my animal interests separate from my income. This is how I wound up taking in injured and abandoned animals on my own dime. The neighborhood was more than happy to assign me the title of unofficial animal rehabilitator. Soon, everyone was dropping off random domestic and wild animals for me to care for in my spare time. This was all well and good… Until I realized how expensive it was to manage the indoor air quality and air temperature for a household of assorted critters. It turns out, you can’t rely on a large central heating, cooling, and air quality control system without giving it a lot of professional attention when you have animal fur and dander floating through the air. My air filters were consistently being clogged with the animal hair and debris. Then, my heating, cooling, and air quality control system was struggling to perform. Meanwhile, I was asking the air conditioner and forced air furnace to keep a consistent indoor air temperature so my pets could recuperate without additional stress of temperature fluctuations. Of course, this resulted in my heating, cooling, and air quality control system breaking down. When you have a large family things get very complicated.

It’s hard enough to have a couple of kids running around when you are working full-time. However, when you are juggling a full-time job and four children things get extremely challenging. This was something that my wife and I realized early on when we began quarantining this year. All of a sudden, we were trapped in a house where we had no peace and quiet. The kids were constantly fighting with each other. Even mundane things like the indoor air temperature control system became grounds for sibling battles. This is when my wife and I started contemplating our central heating, cooling, and air quality control system for the first time. Maybe it wasn’t wise to have a centralized air temperature control system when there were so many diverse opinions about air temperature under one roof. We considered having a full heating, cooling, and ventilation upgrade in the form of zone control heating and cooling. However, eventually we decided that it was more cost and energy effective if we installed separate heating, cooling, and ventilation devices throughout the house. My father was always the one who would come home with the wildest of stories.

He told us everything that happened at work, just to make us laugh.

He worked for the local HvAC company. One day he was telling how they sent out the beefiest HVAC tech they had, to work on a furnace. He called with the emergency number on our cell phones. He was having a rough time in the basement. When dad got there, he said he couldn’t help but start laughing so hard that he had tears rolling down his cheeks. The tech was stuck between the furnace and the wall and he couldn’t budge. Apparently his shirt had gotten attached to a nail sticking out of the wall. This was our normal conversation during dinner. Last week, he came home and asked if he had ever told us the story about the HVAC tech who always wore lipstick when fixing an AC unit? We all looked a bit skeptical. We had never heard of a man who wore lipstick and we couldn’t wait for the story. He said that every time they sent this technician out to work on an air conditioning, they had lipstick on. He said the story spread quickly and everyone wanted to see the tech who wore lipstick. He said he was laughing, as always, because he knew who the tech was. When five HVAC techs got out of the service van to ‘help’ the tech, everyone blushed. The HVAC tech with lipstick, was the new female tech they had hired just a couple months earlier.

On the first warm day, I have a hard time not picking up the phone and calling the HVAC company.

I want to have my air conditioning unit serviced as soon as possible.

I don’t want to take the chance that winter is going to be over and my AC unit hasn’t been serviced. I knew my air conditioning unit was getting older. My dad always said that it isn’t if you are going to need a new HVAC system, but when you will need to get it. I always worry that if I don’t have the air conditioning unit serviced early, it may be too late. I called my brother in the middle of January and I asked if he could do the servicing for me. Ever since he opened his own HVAC company, I have been using him to do all of my HVAC servicing for me. He told me that he was too busy with working on heating systems to worry about air conditioning units at that moment. I was flabbergasted when he told me that. He wouldn’t come over to the house because it was too early? I asked him when he thought it would be time. He sarcastically told me to wait until the daffodils were fully bloomed before I called him again. I couldn’t believe he told me that. I was fuming when I hung up the phone. I turned on the television set and a news update came on with an update on the weather. They were watching a storm that was forming south of us, and it was expected to bring us blizzard conditions. Maybe I was calling about the AC unit a bit too early.

The humidity outside was so high that the air was saturated. We had a dehumidifier in the air conditioning unit, but the humidity was actually forming on the inside of the windows. We had to do something. I changed the air filters and then I called the HVAC company. I had a feeling something was wrong with the air conditioning unit if the humidity was this bad inside. My fear was that I would end up with mold in the house, and that is the last thing I wanted to happen. Mold can be very expensive to get out of the house. You need to have mold remediation done, and if the mold is too bad, you need to have the walls torn out. I was thinking that maybe I should have an air purification system installed in the house, along with a dehumidifier. I know I said I had a dehumidifier in the air conditioning unit, but it didn’t seem to be working very well. When I got in touch with the HVAC company, they asked several questions and then told me they would be at the house on the following Friday. I had to take off a couple hours work so I could be home when the HVAC company arrived. I was sure that when they got there, I was going to have them install an air purification system along with a dehumidifier. Even if it isn’t a necessity, it will put my mind at ease, and make my home more comfortable. After all, isn’t that what the HVAC system is for; to make your life as comfortable as you want it to be.

My daughter wanted a puppy since she had been three years old.

• Last year, we bought her a puppy for her birthday.

She was six and we thought it would be something for her to grow up with and be responsible for. Now that Christmas is on its way, so is the cold air. My wife is complaining about all of the dog hair that is on the sofa and the carpeting. She is constantly pulling out the vacuum to get rid of more dog hair. Last week she told me to change the air filter. It was getting to the point where we had dog hair floating in the air. It seemed to be coming out of the air vents. Our daughter came downstairs, and she was telling me how the dog’s hair was beginning to fall out. She said the furnace was too hot for the dog to be shedding. I was beginning to wonder why we had so much dog hair in the air since it wasn’t summer. Summer is the normal time for a dog to shed. I looked at the puppy and sure enough he had thin spots of hair. I went downstairs to change the furnace air filter and I pulled the air vents to look inside. I called the HVAC company and asked them if they could clean the ductwork this time of year. They promised to send someone out the next week. In the meantime, I had to figure out why the dog was shedding. It wasn’t much of a mystery when I saw my daughter combing the dog’s hair with the thinning comb.

My wife and I have been together for fifteen years now and with every passing year we only will grow closer.

So when the time was right we decided we wanted to build our very own home together.

We briefly considered buying a home, but we decided to build because we like the idea of being able to plan out every design and make it truly our own. We spent months planning out the design and going back and forth of what to add and what to leave out and in the end we both got the home we had been dreaming of for so long, the house our children would grow up in and know as a home. When it came to designing the home, we really put extra thought into the HVAC system that would go inside the home. Our youngest daughter, who is only three, unfortunately has some allergies and so we went only with the best for our kids and got a lot of advice from the local heating and cooling business on what would work best for our situation. We decided upon a whole home air purification system along with a HEPA filter that went with the heating and cooling system. Even the HVAC system we had chosen was a very nice and modern one that was sure to last for years to come. It didn’t really hit us that it was complete and that we could move in until it was moving day. We took our three kids and moved in as soon it was complete and saw our dream home become a reality.

Out of all 365 days of the year my air conditioner truly did choose the worst day, or really the worst week to stop working.

I live in a hot and dry climate that commonly sees the temperatures easily soar to over 100 degrees during the hottest parts of the summer.

If you don’t have a central air conditioner, living in that kind of heat is almost unbearable. This is why everyone around in this area really is heavily reliant on the HVAC companies and most people around here are very careful with their air conditioners. If there is one thing that is for sure it is that the HVAC companies around here really do make a buck. Everybody is always having the air conditioning systems upgraded, tune-ups performed, and regularly inspected and maintained, all for the same reason, nobody wants their air conditioner to be the one that breaks when the heat comes, and it will come, it isn’t matter of if but when. Apart from all the HVAC work that is done, people around here generally brag about who has the best model of air conditioner. Nobody wants to go cheap and risk the heat. However for me, I got unlucky last year when I forgot to have my own air conditioning system upgraded, I normally do my best to keep up with it but it really slipped my mind this time, and right as we had a heatwave coming through that summer my air conditioner broke under the heat. The inside of the house quickly became like an oven and I ended up needing to stay at my girlfriends house until I could have my a/c repaired. Luckily my girlfriend had one of the best air conditioners around, but talk about a bad time to break!
