We retaliated with the HOA

Whenever I have the chance to be a part of something that’s intended for the greater good, I am all in.

I am that way in my professional life as well.

I do this because I love to lead people to do the proper good. So, I do understand the way big groups tend to act when there’s benefit to all stakeholders, which is why the way my HOA is reacting toward a minor HVAC situation is beyond ridiculous. I understand that the neighborhood wants to protect the value of our homes plus property, and there are reasonable standards in place to ensure that this happens. However, the HOA board went after a wonderful family because of an insignificant HVAC issue. There are a few elderly people in our neighborhood who are living on a fixed income and they have recently been threatened with fines plus legal action because the color of their HVAC compressor isn’t suitable. Their HVAC cabinets are faded from the sun, but the HOA wants this family, who have limited resources, to update the HVAC equipment for their home! It’s the most inane situation and I can’t believe it. Well, I couldn’t lay by plus let this happen, so together with some other neighbors, we retaliated on the HOA. Not only did we bring in a lot of people during the last HOA meeting, but we also retained legal counsel to show these power hungry people that we were more than serious. It will be interesting to see how it all unfolds, but I know I won’t be letting this matter slide because it isn’t fair.
