Wasn’t too thrilled about the wedding in the cold weather

On the day of the ceremony the crucial commercial gas heating appliance apparently took a turn for the worst

I regularly wonder why people bother to have ceremonies these days. If you ask me, the entire ordeal is completely unnecessary if you are getting married for the proper reasons. If you easily cannot wait to spend your entire life with somebody, why do you need a giant party to celebrate your partnership? Isn’t it fantastic enough that you have found each other in addition to settled on a lifelong agreement together? It seems basically like you would be better off saving your money and investing in your future life, rather than blowing it on an open bar and catered food that most people don’t care for… That’s my personal opinion, anyways. To be perfectly fair, I also actually don’t enjoy ceremonies… Including the wedding that I attended last week. I already felt that it was a terrible move to have a ceremony in general, however holding it in the dead of the nippy season was an interesting choice. The air temperatures in this section are nothing short of frigid throughout the entire long, dark nippy season. Choosing to have a big celebration with formal dresses when it’s 0 degrees outside did not make any sense to me at all! However, my cousin made the choice he was getting married no matter what the weather conditions would be. I think he had no clue in the slightest that the indoor air temperature would hastily match the outdoor air temperature when the gas heating appliance broke down in his chosen location. On the day of the ceremony the crucial commercial gas heating appliance apparently took a turn for the worst. As the guests began filing into the banquet hall, the indoor air temperature fully plummeted. The group of us wound up shivering in our seats, wearing our nippy season coats, in addition to trying to shield ourselves from frosty drafts for multiple hours. What a bitterly cold start to the marriage.
