The house is so nice and cool now that we finally turned the air conditioning on. I didn’t think it would ever happen. You see, my aunt lives with us right now because she is older and is having trouble taking care of herself. She is very bossy though, and it sometimes drives me insane. She doesn’t mean to be this way though, so I try to be as patient as possible with her. She has always been against air conditioning. When she lived alone, she never used air conditioning. She told me that her momma was against air conditioning, so she is too. She doesn’t really have a reason, but she believes that it somehow slowly kills people. She believes air conditioning is the cause of all cancer. It is quite ridiculous how much she hates air conditioning. I talked to her before she moved into our house, and I told her that we use air conditioning in our house, and we would not stop using air conditioning just because she was going to move in. Well, she didn’t really have a choice, but she begged me not to not use air conditioning until we absolutely could not stand the heat anymore. I was able to go without air conditioning until the first week of July. It definitely got warm in the house during the month of June, but I tried to hold off on using air conditioning as long as possible like I promised her I would. We finally have the air conditioning on, and I can say that I certainly missed having air conditioning.
