Last week, I noticed that 1 of the zones in our house had no heat coming from the vents.
I fiddled with the control component but couldn’t get it to work. Since it’s the middle of December & there was a blizzard on the way, I decided it best to call for repairs immediately. I managed to get an appointment for the following day. The repairman showed up right on time & spent less than thirty minutes working on the oil furnaceâ€¦ He told me everything was all fixed & presented me with a considerable bill for his services. I diagnosed & there seemed to be sizzling air flowing from the vents, so I paid the repair bill. Within two sixths, our entire oil furnace shutdown & wouldn’t start back up. I tried everything & finally had to call the Heating plus A/C business back. He was unable to return until the following afternoon. I then went without heat overnight. I was easily thankful for our heated blanket. With the outdoor temperature dropping down into the teens, the house became uncomfortably chilly actually quickly. When the Heating plus A/C specialist returned to inspect the oil furnace, he discovered a faulty section that needed to be replaced. Since he had to order the part, I went without heat for another night. I also needed to interrupt our workday many mornings in a row to meet with the specialist. For each appointment, he failed to take off his shoes & tracked dirty through our house, making a mess for me to wipe up. I was easily unhappy with the level of repair provided by this Heating plus A/C business.
