My mom and dad had a terrible week this week
My poor mom and dad had a really terrible week this week, culminating with their HVAC unit tearing up. I guess the old saying is true that when it rains it pours, because they had all kinds of issues happen to them this week. Their refrigerator stopped working, they had two flat tires, and then my dad got into a fender bender. Just when they thought the week couldn’t get any worse, they realized that their HVAC system was on the blink. The weather was still hot outside, even though the temperatures had been cooling down a little bit. They were still using their air conditioning, though, because both of them are on medications that make them feel hotter than they would normally be. Anyway, when they realized that the air conditioning wasn’t working, my dad tried to figure out how to fix it himself. After all, they were already paying for two tires, a refrigerator, and a raised insurance rate! He could not get the A/C to come on and start working again, and they ended up having to call their local heating and cooling company to make an appointment for a professional HVAC technician to get everything up and running again. When they told me about their terrible week, I felt really sorry for them! I picked up dinner for them and delivered it over to their house. I’m hoping that next week turns out to be better for them! What an awful week that ended up being! The broken air conditioning was just the icing on the cake!
