The last time resulted in a cracked evaporator coil plus forked a big repair bill that our friend had to cover in full. Eventually this tenant quit paying rent altogether, forcing our friend to start the eviction process. When he finally came to the apartment to remove his things, he had to open a window because he had barricaded the front plus back doors with chairs. But when he got inside, he was nowhere to be found. The apartment smelled adore rotting fish, which every one of us soon found out was due to the sardines he threw in the air conditioning return before leaving.
