Museum has a crazy cold air conditioning unit
Just a few weeks ago I started my current job working security for a very well known museum in the city, and the only reason that I was able to get this job is because my father knows the guy who manages the place, and upon telling me the news that I would be working here he thought that he had done me a huge favor.
While I have to admit I was pretty happy for this opportunity working at this museum, it hasn’t exactly been an enjoyable experience for me.
The hours were not ideal, as well as I have started to turn into a person who sleeps all day and is up all night. For my first month of working here I have been working the late night shift exclusively which has proven to be a miserable experience. When working this shift all that I can do is sit in the office, the harshly chilly office that has the world’s strongest air conditioner. In order for the museum to preserve all of the ancient items inside of it they need to keep the air conditioning in the building running all day, all year. This was something that wasn’t mentioned to me when I was given the work, and going through an entire night cold freezing my can off due to an overpowered air conditioning is starting to get to me. Now don’t get me wrong, I am thankful to my father for getting me this job when I needed it, even though I need to find something else that I can do that doesn’t involve me being cold to death each night.
