Made a mistake of buying a window unit A/C from someone who lied to me
I live up north and the summers are pretty mild, but sometimes you just need a little air conditioning to help you fall asleep at night.
I just moved into a small apartment and it does not have central air conditioning. It does have a wall heater for the wintertime. So far I have been keeping the windows open, the blinds down and fans on this summer to keep myself cool. During the day isn’t so bad because I work Monday-Friday in an office and my office has central air conditioning. I really suffer at night. I cannot sleep unless I am comfortable and under the blankets. Lately, I’ve been so hot and uncomfortable that I haven’t even been able to put the blankets on me so I haven’t slept well at all. I decided to look online for a window unit air conditioner. I am on a really tight budget and I figured a window unit air conditioner would be perfect for me because I don’t need central air conditioning and I really only need it to cool my bedroom at night. I started searching for inexpensive window unit air conditioners and I found someone who posted an advertisement saying that they were selling a window unit air conditioner for a really low price of $25. Something in the back of my mind told me not to do this because it didn’t seem right, but in my state of lack of sleep I decided to reach out to this person. I went to meet up with the person who posted the window air conditioner unit for sale and they said it works perfectly. I got home and installed the window air conditioner unit into the window in my room. It didn’t work and was noisy.
