I never planned for possible AC troubles.
I can be a bit of a stickler when it comes to some things.
My wife says I am anal, but I say that I am just cautious.
I try to stay ahead of things that could possibly go wrong. I get really nervous when there is a possible problem happening, and I want to have it repaired before it actually breaks. My latest problem that needed dealt with was the furnace. I noticed our energy bill was going higher every month and I was convinced it had to do with my furnace. It was winter and we were running the furnace constantly. To be honest, it was the furnace that was running constantly and I was sure there was something wrong with the furnace. I was also sure that the furnace was causing the energy bills to go higher. I called the HVAC company and I had the entire furnace gone over. It costs us quite a bit of money to get the furnace back into shape. My wife said that it may have been cheaper to simply purchase a new furnace, but I dismissed her and her statement. I wasn’t about to go without heating during the winter and I had done what I needed to do. I never gave any thought to the idea that it could have been our air conditioning that was having trouble. That is, I didn’t think about it until the air conditioner broke down right at the beginning of the next summer. Now I not only had to have the air conditioning repaired or replaced, but it was going to cost me emergency service fees to have it done.
