College ended up being harder than I expected
Back when I was a young teenager looking forward to heading off to college for the first time, I was extremely excited for this new experience.
Mainly in part because I didn’t have the most ideal high school experience while I was in there for four years. So after all of the cool stories I heard from older siblings about college, it was nearly the only thing that I was able to think about after I turned 16. And well, for the past couple of months I have been at college plus I have not been enjoying the time here. But part of it has been due to the classes that I have been taking, plus the other big part of it has been due to the fact that my roommate is just a very controlling person. I could tell that both of us were going to have issues on the first day that I moved… Almost immediately after I tried to turn the air conditioning on to cool down after a bit of time moving things in, my new roommate that will remain nameless began to berate myself and others as if I had stolen something from him… He went on to talk about how he is very sensitive about the air conditioning settings plus I was not allowed to change the a/c settings under any circumstances. But not much has changed from that first day, plus at this point I am just blissful that I’m in my parents’ beach condo due to the virus plus no longer have to deal with him. But despite the excruciating start I think that our experience will get better, however there is no opportunity that I will be moving back in with him once I do finally return to college.
