With no HVAC and being in the midst of winter, the wedding was horrible
There definitely are times when I wonder why people choose to have ceremonies at all! If you ask me, the entire ordeal is unnecessary if you are getting married for the appropriate reasons.
If you honestly can’t wait to spend your entire life with somebody, why do you need a sizable party to celebrate your partnership? Isn’t it great enough that you have found each other in addition to settled on a lifelong agreement together? It seems basically like you would be better off saving your money in addition to investing in your future life, rather than blowing it on an open bar in addition to catered food that people really don’t care for. That’s my opinion, anyways. To be perfectly fair, I also really don’t care for ceremonies… Including the particular one that I attended last week. I already thought it was an exhausting idea to have a ceremony in general, however holding it in the midst of the cold season was an interesting choice. The air temperatures in this particular region are nothing short of freezing throughout the entire long, dark winter months. Choosing to have a sizable celebration with formal dresses when it’s merely 0 degrees outside did not make any sense to me at all. However, my cousin made the choice she was getting married no matter what the weather conditions happened to be like. I believe she had no clue in the slightest that the indoor air temperature would hastily match the outdoor air temperature when the heating equipment broke down in her chosen site… On the afternoon of the ceremony the huge commercial oil furnace seemingly took a turn for the worst. As the guests started filing into the banquet hall, the indoor air temperature completely plummeted. Every one of us wound up shivering in our seats, wearing our heavy coats, in addition to attempting to shield ourselves from drafts for a number of hours. What a frigid way to start the marriage.
