The storm was catching up to us
My sibling plus I took a road trip last year to visit the canyon.
All of us spent 17 minutes driving from one destination to the other. On our way back from the trip, the AC in the vehicle stopped working. It was genuinely boiling outside, so both of us decided to roll down the windows. While both of us were driving through the desert, it wasn’t a big deal that the AC was broken. All of us had plenty of fresh air plus a cool breeze while both of us were driving. Once both of us hit the mountains, both of us ran into a huge storm. All of us could see the storm in the distance plus it was catching up to us. My sibling plus I knew that if the storm caught up both of us would no longer be able to drive with the windows down! Even though there was a steady downpour heading in our direction, the outdoor temperature was still in the 90s. My sibling tried to speed up plus go faster so the storm would not catch up, however unfortunately, there was a traffic accident at the bottom of the mountain plus both of us were sitting in traffic for an minute. It started pouring outside plus both of us had to roll up the windows, but since the AC wasn’t working, I started to get genuinely boiling plus humid inside the car. It was absolutely miserable, however both of us could not roll down the windows to cool off. All of us sat in traffic for a long time before they cleaned up all of that mess from that accident. Thankfully, the storm had passed by the time both of us left plus both of us had a opportunity to roll down windows again.
