Roommates boyfriend changes the thermostat
I live with my best friend.
We have been living together since we were eighteen and it has been so much fun. I know that most people say to not live with your best friends, but I think we just got really lucky. We don’t argue about anything because we are typically on the same page about most things. However, there is one thing that has been starting to annoy me for the last few weeks. My best friend has been dating the same guy for about two years now and I think he is great for her. However, he acts like our house is his house and lately it has gotten much worse. I wish that I was able to tell her that it bothers me but I am worried that if I do it will affect our friendship. I guess the thing that annoys me the most is that my roommate’s boyfriend will change the temperature of the thermostat and start to blast the air conditioner when it’s not his house and he doesn’t have to pay for the electric bill each month. I wouldn’t really care about him changing the thermostat if I didn’t notice that it was affecting our bills. I want to say something to him directly but like I said I am a little nervous about it. I hope that if I say something about the air conditioner that I won’t regret it but maybe my roommate wants to know that our bills are getting higher too.
