Once the winter hits I protect the AC from snow and ice

I would presume that anyone who has ever lived in the north is aware of the effects of snow plus ice.

Just the amount of time and currency spent on the management of that cold and slippery stuff is considerable. Winter up north is not all snuggled inside by the Heating, Ventilation & A/C plus sipping cocoa. I can assure you of that. I have a bunch of tools, bags of ice melt plus even a snow blower to deal with all of it. With most of my focus on snow plus ice, there is an element of the Heating, Ventilation & A/C plan that tends to go unthought of. I’m talking about the Heating, Ventilation & A/C cooling component. It’s the Heating, Ventilation & A/C unit that sits outside the apartment year round. Well, it needs some attention too. It’s simple to forget about that piece of Heating, Ventilation & A/C equipment once it isn’t in use. But, that would be a mistake because it is actually a highly delicate component. There are many parts in the Heating, Ventilation & A/C compressor unit that should be protected once Winter starts. I believe that as soon as the Fall temperatures drop, I reach out to the Heating, Ventilation & A/C contractors. They come out to my house to inspect, service and maintain the furnace. This way, I go into the Winter months with some confidence that I can keep my family comfortable. However, this time of year is also the heads up I need to keep the Heating, Ventilation & A/C compressor unit protected. It’s actually the easiest part. All I have to do is slip a protective plastic cover over the Heating, Ventilation & A/C unit and it is protected from the weight of snow plus ice.
