My landlord isn’t very good at being a landlord.
The landlord puts off any kind of servicing on the HVAC system until it is a necessity and by then I am complaining about the lack of heating or air conditioning.
I was so tired of living in a small apartment. I had been living in these cramped quarters for nearly two years. The only reason I chose to live here was because it was cheap and close to where I worked. That didn’t mean I enjoyed living there. I threatened to move, at least once every two to three months. The apartment was clean and the neighbors were amazing, but the landlord was horrible. He could never find time to do any repairs. If he did find time, the repairs were done so poorly that they were broken before he was even back in his own apartment. I couldn’t tell you how many times the HVAC unit broke down. I am fairly sure that the HVAC unit they have in these apartments, is the cheapest HVAC unit they could find. When I lived at home, my dad took such excellent care of our furnace and air conditioning, that the HVAC technician said he felt like he was stealing our money by coming out to do the servicing. I’m not sure how to deal with an HVAC system that is sorely neglected. I then need to call at least twice before they even answer my phone calls. When I do get an answer to my phone call, I need to wait three or four days before anyone shows up. I am so tired of having poor heating and air conditioning. I think this time I really will be leaving this apartment.
