I forgot to change the air filter
When the a/c stopped blowing freezing air, I actually did not think I would be the cause of the problem. After all, I moved into the house as well as plenty of people lived there before me. I figured it might be time to substitute the system. I was experiencing a loss of freezing air over the last couple of weeks as well as I knew it was related. I called the building owner as well as I told the guy that I did not have any freezing air. I told him that the problem has been occurring for a couple of weeks. The building owner called the HVAC service corporation as well as they sent a guy to look at the system. It only took a hour before the guy found the problem. The air duct was filled with dirt as well as dust because I never changed the air filter over the last more than one months. The building owner told me when I signed the lease that I was responsible for changing the air filter every month. When I found out that the A/C issue was due to our negligence, I knew the building owner was going to make me spend money for the repair. Sure enough, I acquired a bill from the HVAC corporation in the mail this week. The $159 fee is our responsibility to pay. I would call our building owner as well as argue about the charge, but I know it was our responsibility to change the air filter.
