Grandmas warm house

From as long as I can remember, our dad would bring our sister and I over to our Grandma’s house for a quick visit. The people I was with and I didn’t stay too long, because she liked to go to sleep really early. I remember the snacks she would provide us, and the games every one of us would play. Another thing I remember is how she typically had the heat running in their house, no matter the time of year. My sister and I typically looked at each other thinking the same thing- “how is she freezing right now?!”; She typically had to have the gas furnace running in the house. I did not understand why it was typically so warm in her house until our dad told me that most older people are usually colder than young people, but from that afternoon, I typically assumed that seasoned people were just cold, then when she was residing in an assisted residing facility, she typically had the heat running. This was something that I never understood, because even in the middle of the summer, she would have the gas furnace blasting. I didn’t guess if I should ask her about it because she typically seemed comfortable. I remember 1 time every one of us left the assisted residing facility and every one of us were all dripping with sweat. The people I was with and I had to go apartment and take a shower! My Grandma passed away recently but I am glad that she was comfortable towards the end of her life. She was a really nice lady, and was typically glad, even if she smoked us out of her house every time!
