A good HVAC system is necessary if you run a wood shop

After working there for a few weeks, we realized that we were definitely going to have a problem if we didn’t upgrade our HVAC system

My brother Ken and I run a wood shop and we have been for the past several years. We really love working with wood and carving and building things from scratch. Our grandpa and our dad taught us all about carving back when we were little kids and we still love it to this day. We decided that during the shutdowns, we would try and open up a business doing what we loved, since we couldn’t go to our regular jobs. It turns out that there was a huge market out there for our custom made furniture. We have been so busy that we have decided to make this our full time job and so we needed to open up a wood shop. One thing that we have learned by working with wood constantly is the need to keep the indoor air quality at a steady temperature and level. We can’t have too much humidity, and the heating and the cooling have to be at exactly the right temperature if you don’t want your wood to get warped or messed up. When we first opened up, we didn’t know that, and we had a crappy old heating and cooling system. After working there for a few weeks, we realized that we were definitely going to have a problem if we didn’t upgrade our HVAC system. That’s when we decided to call a local commercial heating and cooling company to find out how much it would cost for us to upgrade the heating and cooling system in the shop. We also put in an air purification system so that we could breathe more clearly with all of the sawdust floating around in the air.
