Another major bonus of not using our Heating & Air Conditioning as much as it is putting less expensive wear & tear on it, which means it will last longer
The venue I come from, you regularly had the massive central Heating & Air Conditioning system on, regularly. It didn’t matter if it was heating or cooling that you needed, that Heating & Air Conditioning unit was regularly being used & seldom had a single break. Because of this, there were frequent air conditioner breakdowns & amazingly high Heating & Air Conditioning bills, but it didn’t matter because in that area, it always seemed as if the weather was regularly out to get you. Literally. It could be brutally tepid one day & beyond ice cold and chilly the next day. I undoubtedly hated the unpredictable hot & cold temperatures indoors, & from a young age I knew I wasn’t going to stay here. My parents dedicatedly continued to stay there though because the family was down there. I hated the area so much, so as soon as I was 21 & could support myself, I left. Leaving that section of the country has actually been a wonderful decision, now I have moved up north a bit, & I will tell you that here it remains kind of frigid. Because of the frigid weather, I don’t ever need to use our air conditioner anymore, & most of the time it undoubtedly remains powered off. Now I am saving a ton in energy costs, but I can undoubtedly relax & not worry so much about what the weather will have in mind for today. Even the furnace I use in moderation from time to time, which is nice by me, especially since the Winters here aren’t that bad either. I appreciate this new area, & I am so freaking ecstatic not to need furnaces & cooling units all of the time anymore.
