I won’t let this HVAC situation go
Whenever I can join in on something that’s intended for the greater good, I’m 100% in.
I’m this way in both my professional life & my life as a citizen.
I’m this way because I adore lending a hand toward the common good. I understand the way groups act when there’s benefit to everyone, which is why the way my neighborhood HOA is reacting to a small Heating & A/C situation is beyond ridiculous. I understand how the HOA wants to protect the value of our neighborhood & the properties. There are satisfactory standards that are made to ensure that this is upheld. However, the HOA board just went after a home because of an insignificant Heating & A/C problem. There is an elderly couple in the community who have been really struggling financially. They have recently been threatened with fines & legal action because the color of their Heating & A/C compressor cabinets are not right. These Heating & A/C cabinets have only faded from the sun, but the HOA wants these people, who have limited financial resources, to completely replace the Heating & A/C for their homes. It’s the most ridiculous situation I could imagine. Well, I couldn’t lay by & let this go on any longer. Together with some other neighbors who were thinking the same as me, they pushed back on the HOA. Not only did we all overwhelm the last HOA meeting about the misinterpretation of the bylaws, but we also retained legal counsel to show the power hungry fools that we weren’t backing down. It will be interesting to see how everything turns out. I believe in this and I will never let it go in the name of right & fairness.
